Design of a Continuous Biodiesel Process - August 2007 - May 2008
- Created a continuous, mass balanced biodiesel production process that minimizes monoglyceride contaminant levels for Future Fuels, Inc.
- Utilized mass balance, 2nd order kinetics, and thermal heat transfer methods in design.
- Mathematically modeled the voltage potential distribution occurring when a defibrillator pulse is delivered in order to optimize the configuration of electrodes and pulse magnitude.
- Utilized Finite Element Modeling techniques in MatLab program for design.
- Created a bioreactor containing hepatocyte liver cells to facilitate the successfull removal of toxic ammonia molecules from the bloodstream.
- Utilized mass balance properties to assist in the design.
